About Me
My name is Laura, and I love to be creative. I've been writing and making art since I was a little girl. In the past couple of years, it has helped me get through many difficult circumstances in my life. I have struggled with my mental health since I was a young teenager, but art and writing have always been there for me to fall back on as a way to express my feelings. I have been through a lot in the past couple of years dealing with my mental health, but through that experience, I have gained a lot of knowledge about myself and how to cope with life.
I have an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from my local community college, and I am currently trying to start my career in writing. I also have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Archibald Frederick Montgomery I, but we just call him Archie. If you are a dog lover, we might just be friends.
I wanted to create this blog as a space for others to come and get ideas about being creative in recovery and for me to share some of my own creative works and feelings. I hope to create a safe space for others to talk about mental health and open minds to see beyond the surface of stigma and shame.
